Corona Update: 12% increase in new cases in last 24 hours; Most new cases found in Maharashtra on Tuesday

 More than 10 thousand new cases of corona are coming daily in the country for the last 14 days. On Tuesday also 15,733 new cases were registered. There has been an increase of 22% in new cases compared to the previous day. With this, the number of active cases ie patients undergoing treatment has increased to 114,475.

For the last 7 days, the number of active cases is above one lakh. It is not decreasing. On Tuesday, 28 people died of corona. With this, the death toll has increased to 5 lakh 25 thousand 270.

5 states with the most cases In the 5 states of the country, maximum cases of corona are being reported. These include Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and West Bengal. The maximum number of cases are coming from Kerala and Maharashtra. Maharashtra saw a 50% increase in new cases on Monday. At the same time, there has been a decrease of 20% in new cases in Kerala as compared to the previous day.

Maharashtra has come on top in the number of new infections from Maharashtra, overtaking Kerala with the maximum number of cases . Talking about the last 24 hours, 3,098 positive cases were found here, while 4,207 patients were cured, while 6 infected lost their lives. There has been an increase of 50% in positive cases in Maharashtra as compared to the previous day.

Cases are increasing continuously in Tamil Nadu In the
last 24 hours, there has been a decrease of 13% in new cases in Tamil Nadu too. On Monday, 2662 new cases came here, while 1,512 patients were cured. 1 patient died of corona in Tamil Nadu. Even after the reduction in new cases, the positivity rate here remains above 8%.

In Kerala, new cases decreased by 20% in 24 hours,
Kerala still remains a hot-spot of Corona in terms of epidemic. Even though there has been a decrease in new cases for the last four days, but the positivity rate in the state still remains above 16%. On Tuesday, 2603 new cases came here, while 3031 patients were cured. While 6 patients died.

After almost a week, less than 3 thousand cases have been reported in Kerala on Tuesday. On Tuesday, more people were cured than new cases. However, Kerala has the highest number of active cases in the country.
